Hope Now Alliance
MGIC is a member of the Hope Now Alliance, which is a consortium of mortgage industry leaders who are committed to the preservation of homeownership by minimizing foreclosures.
This group includes major mortgage servicers, nonprofit counseling agencies, the GSEs (government-sponsored entities; e.g., Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac), industry trade associations (e.g. MBA, ABA), some MI companies, as well as other mortgage service providers.
The goals are to identify best practices in reaching homeowners, share effective loss mitigation strategies, and develop new solutions that improve the effectiveness of mortgage servicing.
MGIC's involvement helps us advance our internal claims and loss mitigation strategies.
